  • Winter barn check, up to 3 buildings: heated waterers and their GFCI protection, heat tape, tank heaters, heat lamps, chewed cords, fan shutters and winter ventilation
  • Generator test with your barn running on it: voltage as motors start, amp draw against its rating, transfer switch or interlock, inlet, cord, neutral and ground, battery and charger
  • Written outage plan: what to run first when the power goes out

Farm Plan

$1,325/yr

about $110 a month

Beef, heifers, small and mixed farms

  • 2 visits: spring and fall
  • Spring heat-camera scan of panels, disconnects, starters and big motors while they run. Every hot spot photographed and ranked
  • A dated summary for your insurance company
  • Fall: everything in Winter Ready: winter barn check, generator test and outage plan

Dairy Plan

$2,015/yr

For dairies with barn fans

Herd Protect

$4,400/yr

about $367 a month

Freestalls, robots, tunnel or cross ventilation

  • 4 visits: everything in the Dairy Plan, plus:
  • Spring fan service, up to 30 fans: blades, guards, shutters, belts, bearings, wiring and controller stages, with airflow measured before and after
  • Summer heat-camera scan while fans and cooling run their hardest
  • Motor wear tests on vacuum pumps, milk pumps and the other motors you can't milk without, so a failing motor gets replaced before it quits
  • Alarm test, if you have a barn alarm
  • 10% off repair labor

For grain farms

Grain Plan

$1,495/yr

about $125 a month

Grain dryers, bins, legs and augers, for one grain site

  • 2 visits: one before harvest, one during harvest
  • Pre-harvest check (July – August), while there's still time to fix things: dryer wiring and controls, and that its safety switches are hooked up and not bypassed. Aeration fans, bin heaters, bin temperature cables, and the motors on legs, augers and conveyors
  • Harvest heat-camera scan with the dryer, legs and conveyors all running. I work around you and don't stop harvest
  • Motor readings every visit, compared to last time, so a weak motor gets caught before it quits
  • Emergency stops and pull cords tested, and a shutoff you can lock at every machine
  • Generator test and outage plan, if you have a generator. Same price if you don't

Every plan: no trip charges · visit dates booked for the whole year · priority when you call for a repair · 5% off repair labor (10% on Herd Protect) · a written report after every visit, with a price to fix anything I find.

Pay for the year, or monthly. 12-month agreement that renews each year. Parts and repairs are always priced before any work.

Equipment I sell & install

Barn alarms

A cellular alarm calls or texts your phone when the power goes out, the barn gets too hot or cold, the fans quit, or the bulk tank warms up — wherever you are.

Monitoring with a yearly test of every alarm. Free estimate.

Calving cameras

Watch the calving pen from your phone at 2 a.m. instead of walking out to the barn. Night vision, built for barn dust and damp.

Free estimate.

Standby generators

A generator that starts on its own, or a PTO unit with a proper hookup. Sized for your farm, installed, and tested every year so it's ready when the power goes out.

Free estimate.

Energy upgrades

LED lights, drives on vacuum pumps and fans, and other upgrades that cut your power bill. Rebates and grants can help pay, and I'll help you find what applies. Grants →

Free estimate.

New control panels

Worn-out or rusted controls on your silo unloader, conveyors, barn cleaner or manure pump? I build a new panel ahead of time and swap it in on your schedule, so you're down for hours, not days. More →

Free estimate.

New barn fans

Tunnel, cross and circulation fans and controllers, installed and wired for the barn. Newer fans move more air for less power, and rebates can help pay.

Free estimate.
